I booked a room for 27 December 2019- paid the booking fee and sent a message to the owner - Juanita Henry- regarding a request on the day that I arrive. I had to send my message 3 times before anyone bothered to reply. This was on whatsapp so I could see when my message was read. on 18 December 2019 my booking was suddenly cancelled. I sent the owner -Juanita Henry- another message on whatsapp to enquire why my booking was cancelled- no reply. Still no reply...you can't complain about the service because there is none!! Dont even bother making a booking...
After arriving at our destination we were not greeted with a smile nor did we feel welcome. The room was a nice size and the linen of good quality, however, the walls have damp and the walls really need a good paint. The curtains were moved and the holes where the previous screws were are not even closed and painted over. It is situated in a quiet, safe area and the grounds are well-kept. It was the inside of the room that needs maintenance.
We were greeted warmly by Aletta and quickly allocated a double room. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Well appointed, cheerful and more than adequate for an overnight stop. Value for money.
We spent one night at this guest lodge. The new owner is Juanita - very friendly lady. Be warned that you can only pay with cash. The wifi is non existent. Safe parking inside the property. The neighborhood was fine. The room is very spacious and clean. Very affordable but nothing special. Will consider staying here to save money on my trips down to Cape Town, but will not recommend it for friends on holiday
Whilst the area appears run down, the guest lodge stands out with its white, high walled surrounds and electric gates. We were greeted warmly by the owner and quickly allocated a non-self catering room. Well appointed, cheerful and more than adequate for an overnight stop. Value for money.
