Not sure if my first Answer went through. No AMEX cannot be used at the hotel but you can use a Travel agency outside of Angola to manage and process the payments. It is safer that way. I use Go Corporation Travel and they do a very good job and your card info is secure. you would contact them to book and confirm the room then you just sign out an in a few days you get your charges in an email and your card is charged. They are in Portugal You can look them up by doing INFO AT there name no spaces period com
