מלון יפיפה ונדיר, עם הכניסה ללובי הרגשה קסומה של אלגנטיות עוטפת את המבקר. השירות בארוחת הבוקר ברמה בינלאומית , ניכר כי הצוות עבר הכשרה מקצועית בתחום. יחד עם זאת ארוחת הבוקר היא מהמנימליסטיות שנתקלנו במלון 5 כוכבים...
מלון מדהים ביופו, שירות שלא נתקלתי בו אף פעם. אין לי מילים. המלון הכי הכי טוב בארץ! מומלץ! חווה של חול בישראל. החדר נקי מאוד, הגענו לחגוג יום נישואין קיבלנו פינוקים מקסימים מהמלון. אנחנו בטון נגיע שוב בקרוב

We saw the sun hotel advertised on the internet as Howard Johnson Sun Hotel and were assured that this would be a good quality hotel being part of the hojo chain.We were very content not have ever been to israel before.We were looking forward to our vacation at the sun.When we arrived we were completely shocked at the state of it.The sun is supposed to be a four star hotel with tennis courts,basketball courts,swimming pool but the tennis and basket ball courts are completely in ruins and the pool is locked up.Breakfast is just a bowl of cucumbers,tomaoes,sliced cheese and dry bread.Half board or full board does not exist there is no cooked meals,the dinning room is used for occasions only.The room is very dirty and tatty,no body came to clean the room for four days,that meant no clean towels or toilet paper.The grounds of the hotel are full of rubbish everywhere you look no body seems to be bothered about it either.One morning we went down to breakfast and there was nothing there we sat and waited feeling like beggars untill we were noticed then the man arrived with two plates with a few bits on them and he put them down in front of us didn't even ask if that is ok.On our last morning there we got up and went to wash but there wasn't any water in the taps we couldn't wash.We had such a bad experience at the sun we complained to howard johnson they told us that they no longer own the sun hotel.Don't be mistaken by the advertisements that the sun is making on the internet it has nothing to do with howard johnson and is far from being a four star hotel.Be carefull not to make our mistake. …

Having stayed at the sun a few times before we were in shock at the state of it.We arrived during the night the receptionist didn't know what room we were in so she gave us a room that was in a state.The whole hotel had a bad mouldy smell everwhere you went.The room was dirty no bed covers,blankets with holes in,broken lamps,the electric socket hanging out of the wall the curtains torn and the carpet full of cigarette burns and stains more like a hostel not a hotel.Breakfast was a disaster one day no fresh bread one day no hot water one day no butter or jam when we asked for something we were rudely snapped at "none,none".So we took our own rolls etc..to be on the safe side.One day when we were at breakfast the workman came and started to smash a pane of glass near to us while we were having breakfast.We paid for half board and the receptionist told us dinner between 7-8.When we arrived at the dining hall it was shut.Apparrently it is used for weddings and bar mitzvahs only.We asked the kitchen staff where do we have dinner they told us they don't do dinner.One end of the hotel doesn't know whats going on at the other, a complete shambles.We wanted to use the pool but it was locked up.The tennis courts were full of sand and in complete ruins.The surroundings of the hotel are full of debris everywhere you look. There is a bin full of garbage right in front of the entrance and rubbish scattered all around,not a welcoming sight.When you arrive driving up to the hotel there is burt grass and dirt no flowers or plants.It is a great shame that the sun has been neglected so much.The hotel used to be mavellous it is in a great location,has it's own pool and car park and is right on the beach.We can only say stay away untill it has a complete rennovation.See photos attatched. …

We recently stayed at the Sun Hotel for the weekend (Thurs.-Shabbat), and were appalled at the level of service. As soon as we entered the room, we wanted to turn on the heat, but there was no heating. A quick call to reception brought the following response - "We only turn the heating on at night." This sounded silly, so we checked the next door room -- heating worked perfectly! Went downstairs to reception, and again a lame excuse. Called the manager, and he agreed that the excuse was ridiculous, and came to the room himself to check. He allowed us to switch rooms, but as we were doing so, he went to the mail electric panel on the floor and just flipped the switch which had gone off. So, back to the original room! Later on in our stay,Friday afternoon, the room hadn't been made up, no new soap or towels. After several calls to the desk, we got towels half an hour before Shabbat -- not needed anymore! Though we were promised our own table for meals, they either weren't set up and we had to wait (feeling like beggars) till they were done, and in the end we ended up sitting with other ppl who had also asked for separate tables. There's more, but you get the idea. Everything that went wrong was explained with some type of silly ridiculous excuse. We felt that we should have been reimbursed or something, but all the manager could muster up was "I'm sorry" at the end of our stay, this after speaking rather rudely to us during the weekend (and to other ppl as well). Our advice -- stay away from Bat Yam, and certainly the Sun Hotel. …
