Our family of 6 spent a week in Neve Ativ during the summer. The hotel is set atop the Hermon Mountain. It was warm during the days and cool in the evenings - a pleasant change from Israel's summer heat. The hotel is a series of independent triangular chalets - ours had two floors, with the children upstairs. The gardens are wonderful and the views from the area are breathtaking. However, the rooms are in need of refurbishment. The manager assured us this was to occur in Autumn 2007 - but I would suggest checking before you book. The food was below average.
You cannot beat the location of this boutique hotel - right at the foot of Mount Hermon. We are a family of 5 so we stayed in the largest chalet - downstairs a king bed for us and upstairs 3 beds for the kids - great for some peace and quiet. Bathroom is ok - not that luxurious but compact and tidy (plenty of hot water). We ate dinner in the hotel the first night and chose the Druze restaurant. What a feast and so reasonably priced! We found the other restaurant rather pricey for our finicky eaters so opted for the 'Buffy' restaurant next door - charming and also reasonably priced. Breakfast was enormous and satisfied us all. You won't be disapointed.
